Bishops
You have the responsibility of working with and encouraging your young women to attend girls camp. Together with the YW Presidents you need to plan a fundraiser to fund camp and need to assign ACLs to attend camp. You also need to work with the YW Presidency and Camp Committee to communicate to the young women the expectations and needed paperwork (due and turned in on time) and will encourage meeting attendance and communicate with parents about girls camp.
Please ensure the parents are aware of the scheduled meetings and the importance of attending. Also communicate with assigned Adult Camp Leaders (ACLs) and Youth Camp Leaders (YCLs) that they MUST attend ALL meetings.
Bishop’s Night at Camp
We always look forward to Bishop’s night at camp. It is an incredibly spiritual time that you can spend with your young women to share your thoughts, address the needs of your young women, share your testimony, and build a stronger relationship with the young women.
To ensure this time is most productive, we have a few items that you should be aware of:
• Other than your spouse, no other guests or children can be brought to camp.
• Please arrive on time and be prepared to meet in various areas within the camp, including outside.
Ward Young Women’s Presidency
